Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 August 2026

This policy explains what information the Huntingdonshire Business Directory collects and how we use it. We keep things simple and only collect what we need to run the directory.

Who we are

The Huntingdonshire Business Directory is a local directory for businesses across Huntingdon and the surrounding towns and villages. If you have any questions about this policy, email us at info@huntingdonshirebusinessdirectory.co.uk.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the website is used. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool: it does not use cookies and does not collect or store any personal information. It only provides us with aggregated, anonymous statistics, such as how many people visited a page and which pages are the most popular.

Cookies

The directory does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics is cookieless, as described above.

Information we collect

The only personal information we collect is the information a business provides to create and manage a listing, and to let us keep in touch about that listing. This is typically:

• Business name
• Contact email address
• Business address
• Phone number

How we use your information

We use this information only to:

• Publish your business listing in the directory; and
• Contact you about your listing, for example to confirm details or send you updates.

We do not use your information for anything else.

Your listing is public

The details you provide for your listing, such as your business name, address, phone number and website, are published on the directory so that customers can find and contact you. That is the purpose of a listing, so please only submit details you are happy to show publicly.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Keeping your information

We keep your information for as long as your listing is active. If you would like your listing or details removed, email us at info@huntingdonshirebusinessdirectory.co.uk and we will remove them.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or remove the information we hold about you at any time by emailing info@huntingdonshirebusinessdirectory.co.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page, with the date at the top updated accordingly.
